See allAbout Tidal Kart
Six buggy drivers, twelve tracks and a lot of flying coconuts: that is the pitch. You can race as Kai, Nalu, Coral, Rio, Sunny or Reef and visit places such as Coral Coast, Lava Lagoon, a neon city at night, Frost Peak and Sakura Sprint.
Drifting is the core skill. While you hold the drift button through a corner, sparks change from blue to orange to pink, and letting go releases a boost matched to that color. Dunes act as ramps, and a trick in the air gives you an extra kick when you land.
The modes are Race, Time Trial, Elimination, Battle and a two-player option on one device. Item crates hand out nitro, rockets, coconuts and shields, rivals come in Chill, Pro and Legend strength, and coins go toward the Garage. Drive the wrong way and the game will scold you, politely.
How to play Tidal Kart
- Pick one of the six drivers and a track.
- Hold the drift button through a corner until the sparks reach the color you want.
- Release the button to get a boost, and use dunes to launch into tricks.
- Smash item crates and use what you find on rivals.
- Finish ahead of the field, then spend your coins in the Garage.
Controls
- Computer
- Arrow keys or WASD to drive and steer; Shift or Space to drift (release for a boost, tap in the air for a trick); E, X or Enter to use an item; Esc or P to pause; M to mute
- Phone or tablet
- Touch buttons to steer, drift, brake and use items (gas is automatic)
Tips for Tidal Kart
- Longer drifts give bigger boosts, so look for wide, sweeping corners to charge them.
- Save defensive items such as shields for the moments just before you expect a hit.
- Start on the Chill rivals to learn each track, then raise the difficulty.
- Stay pointed the right way; wrong-way driving only costs you time.
Who is Tidal Kart for?
Great for kart-racing fans, and for sharing one device with a friend in the 2 Players mode.
